PrepMD was founded in 2009 as a cardiac device pacing school to serve the need of trained cardiac device specialists, but soon grew to include cardiac rhythm management (CRM), electrophysiology (EP), Structural Heart (SH) and Interventional Cardiology (IC) training, online learning, and staffing services along with cardiac device remote monitoring services. Today, PrepMD is a well-recognized brand in the cardiac medical device industry.

The In-Clinic Solutions Program:
The PrepMD In-Clinic Solutions Program provides an opportunity to enter the high-demand career space of cardiac medical devices. PrepMD invests in the learning and professional development of the candidate, providing access to cardiac medical device learning resources, followed by a full-time opportunity.
Required Training (Provided at NO Cost): ICSP candidates must complete the provided and required online learning and in-person trainings, and pass all proficiency assessments with an 85% or above to remain eligible for the role. The online training is 9-weeks long and the in-person training is 3-weeks long in Braintree, MA. This total training commitment is expected to take most candidates about 3 full months to complete, and is intended to prepare them for the career ahead. We recommend 20-25 hours of study time per week to complete the online training; in-person training is full-time 9am-5pm, Monday-Friday.
Assignment: Once the ICSP Candidate has completed the required training and passed all assessments according to the academic standards, they receive their job assignment. This is when the candidate starts his/her job as a PrepMD Cardiac Device Specialist for at least 1 year and also when the employment contract timeline, salary and benefits begin. Placement assignment locations and assignment type vary according to what’s outlined in the Job Description and can be anywhere in the country.
